Doris Jean Cross, age 84, passed away on May 28, 2006, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and strength.
She is survived by her children Johnny (Lisa) Meinhardt, Kathleen (Robert) McMichael, Jaclyn Meinhardt, and Victoria Meinhardt. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Meinhardt. Doris’s love extended across generations, and she took great pride in her growing family of grandchildren and great‑grandchildren.
Guided by a lifelong commitment to helping others, Doris chose to donate her body to Washington University, continuing her spirit of service even after her passing.
