Flood, Carl E. “Carly” Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Beloved husband of Margie E. Flood (nee Engelkemeyer). Dear father of Kristine (Chris) Sanfilippo, Kellie (David) Kilby and Heather (Jay) Grant. Dear step-father of Kent (Susan) Lerbs, Kurt (Yvonne) Lerbs, Kelly (Sandy) Lerbs and Kim (Brion) Burke. Our dear grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend.
Carl owned a barber shop for many years in Creve Coeur. He was a real people person and considered many of his customers to be a true friend. Carl loved to tell stories about some of his past escapades and experiences and was so good at it you felt you had experienced it with him. He loved going to classic car shows and had a ’76 Corvette for many years. He was always buying car and hunting magazines and giving them to our children and grandchildren. He was a collector of many things but watches were his passion. He would give almost everyone a watch–he was very generous and loved to share. He also collected barber memorabilia such as antique shaving mugs and straight razors. Carl loved to play games such as Rummikub and cards and most of the time he won.
Memorial visitation at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Friday, October 2, 10:00 am until memorial service at 12:00 noon. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Open Door Animal Sanctuary, 6065 Duda Rd. House Springs, Mo. 63051 appreciated.
