Judith Marie Fusco (nee Kampwerth), born July 14, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. Judy is survived by her two children, Shawn (Billie) Fusco and Ember (Thomas) Shaner; her grandchildren Ireland (Collin) Brant, Alec Reeves, Hank Fusco, Natalie Shaner, Victoria Shaner, Thomas Shaner III, and Whitney Shaner; and by her devoted sister, Joyce Kampwerth.
Born in St. Louis, as a child, she attended Most Sacred Heart of Jesus grade school in north St. Louis and went on to graduate from St. Alphonsus Rock High School in 1969. After years managing Interior Gift Gallery in Affton, Judy spent 30 years working in sales at Precoat Metals in South St. Louis.
Like all true St. Louisans, she enjoyed watching Cardinals baseball and Blues hockey; however, Judy was a big fan of the St. Louis Rams, during its tenure here, attending numerous games and tailgates. She loved her television shows, especially Grey’s Anatomy and Suits, and she loved listening to rock music, which kept her young at heart through the years.
Friendships came naturally to Judy, as she had an easy generosity of spirit, and a genuine interest in people that transcended position or circumstance. Judy loved to frequent the newest and coolest restaurants in the City with her sister, as well as attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends and having long talks about the people and things she loved – pop culture, movies, music and politics.
Services: Visitation will be held at St. Stephen Protomartyr, 3929 Wilmington, St. Louis, MO 63116, on Thursday, October 8 from 10 to 11 a.m. with mass commencing at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Humane Society of St. Louis (https://hsmo.org/ways-to-give/) or Pedal the Cause St. Louis (https://www.givesignup.org/Race/Donate/MO/SaintCharles/pedalthecause) in Judy’s name.
