Follmer, John A. “Johnny B”

 

John A. “Johnny B” Follmer passed away at home on March 14, 2025.  Born in St. Louis, MO to Joan Lee Follmer and John Follmer, he was truly a man of service.  Johnny enlisted in the Army right out of high school then spent 30+ years in the towing business helping people in distress.  He continued this lifetime of caring for others as a motorist assistance operator with MoDot.  Johnny is survived by his wife, Michelle Nichols of Chesterfield; son Jeremy Follmer (Michaela) of St. Louis; daughter Sierra Follmer of St. Louis, brothers Bill McPherson and Dale Follmer, and sisters Sharon Sturdevant and JoAnn Bahr.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lani McPherson and Louis McPherson.  Other surviving family members include the extended Follmer and McPherson families. Johnny is also survived by many wonderful, caring friends. Visitation is 1:00pm on March 23, 2025 at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129.  The service will follow immediately at 4:00pm.  A short service with full military honors will be held at Jefferson Barracks at a later date.

  1. I knew ya about 28 years, give or take. Spent many a fun day with you and Shad and family. Gave you ur dog Rocky. Watched you become a girl dad. Rest in Peace Johnny. You earned it. Rock on.

  2. U wasnt my biological father but when u met my mom u stepped up and took full care of me along with my little brother(jeremy) u will truly be missed!! U were an amazing father to Jeremy and Sierra and so sorry that they have to go thru this…Luv u both

  3. You will be missed my friend of over 30 years . My condolences to your family . We had a lot of fun stories to tell from our past . We always had an understanding of our relationship. When life got in the way we still knew we had each other’s back . We met each other 34 years ago at Atlas towing and from then on we never forgot our friendship. Love you my friend and we will we each other in heaven someday .
