Hall, Judith L. “Judy” (nee Cross)

October 15, 1943 - February 4, 2025

Asleep in Jesus, Tuesday February 4, 2025 in St. Louis Missouri at the age of 81.

Loving wife of Harold Hall of 63 years; They were high school sweethearts at Herculaneum High School.

Judy was born in St. Louis Missouri, on October 15, 1943, to the late Paul B. and LaVerne Cross. And proceed in death by her very special Grandmother “Nana”.

Judy was the beloved mother of Rhonda (Jeff) Malone, Sandy (Jeff) Chestnas and Nancy (Vince) Preheim; grandmother of Maggie (Cole) Wrisinger, Kyle (Alex) Chestnas, Mallory (Jared) Robinson, Kurt (Lindsey) Chestnas, Benjamin Preheim, Elijah Preheim; great-grandmother to Lila, Charlie Wrisinger, Jude, Shep, Wesley Chestnas, Wyatt, Luke, Sadie Robinson, Kinnerleigh, Charlie, Cora, Walter Chestnas. Dear cousin, aunt, neighbor and friend.

Her family and many friends will miss her smiles and stories dearly, she was one of a kind who never met a stranger. She loved her West Highland White Terriers especially her current “blonde daughter” Lucy. She enjoyed watching QVC and margaritas with her Herky High School friends. Every week she was pampered at the beauty shop, then at home by her loyal friend Vicky.

Judy received care from Mercy Hospice at home and later at the deGeeff Hospice House during her final weeks. She particularly cherished her home visits from Teresa, her Hospice Music Therapist, who will also be playing at her memorial service. Her family is deeply thankful for all the support her care givers provided. In honor of Judy, donations can be made to Mercy Hospice St. Louis, located at 1630 Des Peres #305, St. Louis, MO 63131.

Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Friday, February 7 from 10:00 am. until Funeral Service time at 12 noon. Interment at Sunset Cemetery.

  10. what a blessing we have at this time of grief. To know Judy has eternal life in the arms of Jesus with a love we can’t know until we get there. I pray we will all accept Jesus death and resurrection for eternal life to see our beloved Judy again. She was an example of Jesus love in our midst and we will miss that relationship.

  12. The Halls were the friendliest neighbors & friends to the (late) Don/Sue & Jack/Laura;
    Judy will live on in our hearts. We will miss her bubbly personality and beautiful smile.
