In Loving Memory

Kavouras, Vera

Reunited in heaven with her husband Chris on Monday, May 14, 2018. I’m sure it was an extreme reunion! As our matriarch and queen she will be missed by Greg and Mary Ann Kavouras, Angela Kavouras and Keith Shapiro, Kyle and Nicole Shapiro, Stacy and Drew Holley, Michael and Meagan Kavouras, Andrew, Sam and Hannah Holley, along with her sisters Linda Stevens, Betty Braig, and Mary Wolverton and many more.

Vera was a business woman and an extremely talented seamstress. She was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church since the 1950’s. Although always a lady, she could be quite funny and mischievous. Her favorite foods were Pirrone’s pizza and Taco Bell. In fact, she still ate her Taco Bell Mexican pizza every Friday.

She taught her children “when in Rome do as the Romans  do…just enough to get by!” Thanks Mom for teaching us that it’s good to be unique.

Services: Please join our celebration on Saturday, May 19 for an open house from 12:30-3:30 at the home of her daughter, Angela. Prayers and memories at 1:30. Email for the address: akavouras@msn.com. Graveside service on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00 am at Sunset Cemetery.
