God decided it was time for Dorothy to join her family on Friday, July 28, and sent his angels to guide her on her journey. She was reunited with her parents Mary Bell and James, her husband Leo, her sisters Elizabeth, Velma, Elsie, Hazel and her brothers, Elmer, Dale, Jimmy, Delmar, and her nieces and nephews. Dorothy was with some of them when they started their journey home and they waited patiently for her. She took great joy in preparing meals and getting together with family and friends. She was known as the “fish lady” at Schnucks in Concord Village because she could cook any type of fish in a small frying pan and it tasted great. Dorothy had a warm heart and shared her love and kindness with everyone. Her door was always open to family and friends.
She is survived by her son David (Pat), grandchildren Sarah, Elisa, Amanda, her great grandchildren Murray, Delaney, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral at Kurtis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Friday August 4th at 10am. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice appreciated. Interment JB National Cemetery. Vis. Thursday 4-8PM.
Deepest sympathy may you have comfort in knowing that she suffers no more. It was a pleasure being a part of her care team.
