Maddock, Laverne M.

Laverne M. Maddock (nee: Gretschel) age 97, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church Saturday, April 20, 2024.  Loving wife of the late James S. Maddock; beloved mother of the late Michael (survived Maureen) Maddock, Sharon Denu, James (survived Janet) Maddock and Daniel (survived Denise Vonder Haar) Maddock; dearest grandma of Christopher (Emily), Ryan (Brittney), Brian, John, Matt, James (Cindi), Wendi, Joe (Destiny), Joe (Cara) and Jeff (Courtney), great grandma of Hanna, Owen, Penelope, Daniel, Carter, Colton, Griffen, Norah and Eloise.

Laverne was a faithful Catholic and loving servant to God, her churches, family, friends and community.  She was a volunteer at the cafeteria  at St Andrew’s Catholic Church School, served on the Ladies Sodality and on the Rosary Guild. At St. George Catholic Church she attended Eucharistic Adoration at 7:00AM weekly without fail into her 90’s.  Laverne also delivered Meals on Wheels for over 40 years.

Services:  Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Road 5255 Lemay Ferry Road Monday, April 29, 8:30am until 9:30am prayer to Assumption Catholic Church 10am Mass.  Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

  1. What a beautiful lady!! I loved when our visits to Sherry overlapped at the Nursing Home!! She always wanted to know how I was doing!! She was a VERY faith-filled women!! I’m sure many loved ones were waiting to welcome her home!!!!!❤
