Passed away peacefully at his home in Affton after being in hospice for 10-months from chronic heart issues.
Jack is survived by his dear wife, Karen (nee Fannen), of 62 years, his lovely daughters Maureen (Scott) Binder, and Peggy (Mike) Healy, his beloved grandchildren Sean (Katrina) Parks, Moira and Kevin Healy, his sister Patricia “Pat” Alexander, niece Kathy Alexander, nephew David Alexander, and sister Kathleen “Kay” Manson.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John J. “Jack” Senior, and Anna (nee Bantle) Manson and his brother-in-law David Alexander.
Jack was born April 18, 1940, in St. Louis. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Lo for 65 years, where he was a journeyman/wireman electrician.
Jack loved St. Louis Blues hockey, watching his grandson Kevin’s hockey games, his granddaughter Moira’s plays and musicals, and deep conversations with his grandson Sean about history and finances. He was a big Cardinal Baseball fan and in fact played childhood baseball with St. Louis Cardinal Mike Shannon.
Jack loved the beach, cruising with life-long friends, vacationing in Florida, eating White Castles, Steak ‘n Shake, pizza, and ice cream.
He will be missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Kutis Funeral Home in Affton Thursday, May 15th from 4-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be on Friday, May 16th at 11 a.m. at Seven Holy Founders Catholic Church with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Affton.
Our memories of all the years of fun we had with Jack and Karen. Cruising through the Panama Canal or just a group of friends having lunch.. We played Mexican Train, which he never seemed to understand. Teased him about always forgetting to open the Bailey Irish Cream at there house.
Our prayers for Karen, Maureen and Peggy and all his family for their loss.
To the Manson family. My deepest
Condolences. May the Good Lord bless you all, at this time. Jackie was a fine person

Bornholdt Family of 9 lived across street until 2018 from Manson Family of 4 on Chantenay!! A great family-led by always-kind Jack! I recall him at a patio party my folks had in early ‘70s-a few beers & a few absolutely hysterical comments from him!! I wish Karen, Maureen & Peggy peace only God & Jack’s love can forever give!! A good man is hard to find, but Jack was definitely one! He’s in Heaven now♥️
