Jo,I’m not sure why this is the memory that comes to mind, but Charlie and I were at the lodge getting ready for some kind of big to do. I was a hot Saturday and sarge rowdy was expected thsr night. There was no water in the building. I said I have an idea. We got a 12 pack of cold beer from the cooler, and Charlue and I drove all around, until we found the men working on the water in the subdivision behind the lodge. There was an older black man in a large truck under a shade tree watching other men eat lunch. We asked when service might be restored and he said Monday at the earliest. Charlie hollered, Monday? Nooooo! The man said it was a big job. Chalie told the man we had a big event at the lodge that night. I slid the 12 pack from under a blanket in my truck and charlie handed it out the window to the man in charge. He said, Gentkemen, I will have your water service restored in 2 hours. We thanked the man and Charlie said Faulstich is right, you’ve got some bullshit! And we had water in a little over one hour… Charlie always laughed about that… I sure will miss him!
