Beloved husband of Cheryl Ruble (nee Hale); devoted father of Danielle (Shawn) Sipi and Gary (Connie Rushing) Ruble Jr.; adoring grandfather of Destiny, Michalee (Spencer), Mason, Carley, Caden, Kyle, and the late Kennedy; cherished great grandfather of Colt and Nellie; dear son of the late Anthony and Helma Ruble; loving brother of Vernon (Betty) Ruble, Shirley (Bob) Stanfield, Nelson (Barb) Ruble, Mary (Ed) Berlin, JoAnn Vankirk, Kay (Leroy) Ludwig, Patty (the late Dennis) Ludwig, and the late Charles, Carolyn (Richard) Williams; our dear uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, and friend to many.
He was a graduate of Lutheran South High School. Went on to own McLains Corner Bar and Grill, and also owned Ruble roofing. He enjoyed fishing, sports, and spending afternoons at the movies. His favorite thing was spending time with his friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions made to the family for their charity of choice are greatly appreciated.
SERVICES: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd., 63123) on Friday, March 27th, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM, with the memorial service beginning at 6:00 PM. There will be a celebration of life party at Elaine Rosi Academy 8900 Manchester Rd. Brentwood, Mo. 63144 on May 9 from 5:00 pm-12:00 Midnight.

Gary- truly one of the great ones. I feel so lucky to have known you and to have been welcomed by this family. The kind of man he was—genuine, strong, and full of heart—is something you don’t come across often. He left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him, especially me. My heart is with all of you. I was very saddened to hear that Gary passed away. He was one of kind. I have so many fond memories of time we spent together over the 45 plus years since we first met playing softball together.
Please accept my deepest condolences. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
So sorry to all the family. Gary was such a great man. His kindness and generosity was second to none. I couldn’t have made it through college and my early years of teaching with him. He gave me a job, made sure I was taken care of in college and took me in as one of his own family. I will never, ever forget what he did for me. Cheryl and Jr-I can’t image, but know the hearts he touch will forever live on. Prayers to the both of you and the extended family. I will miss him.

Gary was a wonderful man and great friend to so many – He was truly loved and he will be greatly missed – I can’t understand why God decided to take him that night we’ll never understand bc he was truly a great man who loved his family – and he was always in a good mood. He made me happy every time I ran into him! I’m so sorry for your Loss to the entire Ruble family and just know he will be with God in Heaven and he’s seeing a lot of friends and family who went before us – Love u Gary, until we meet again 🥃 💙 🙏
Sad, but it warms my heart that LHSS ’71 Wayside Gang remembers with flowers being the Christians they are. JoJo, John Wilke, Douglas raise a toast and a cigar puff.
I have had the good fortune of knowing Gary since the late 80s. Many hours fishing at the Lake of the Ozarks, Lake Taneycomo and Truman Lake. We had a great time together doing that and hanging out at the bar. Perhaps I will sing karaoke again sometime like we used to on Thursday nights: Ramblin Rose.
A terrible loss for June Bug, Cheryl, Danielle, Connie and all the grandchildren and cousins. May he rest in peace. He was just a great person and freind.
