Ruesy (nee Foppiano); loving father of Michael (Ann) and James (Vicky) Ruesy and Maureen (Ryan) Vegely; adoring grandfather of Lauren, Abigail, Sean, Jacob and Austin; dear brother-in-law of Doris (Larry) Landholt; our dearest uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, Thursday, July 22, 9:30 a.m. to St. Paul Catholic Church (Fenton) for 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment at J.B. National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Siteman Cancer Center or SSM Hospice appreciated. Visitation Wednesday, 4-9 p.m. with Marine Corps League Honor Guard service at 7:00 p.m. and Rosary service at 8:00 p.m.

  3. I met John in 2005 when I began working at Grant’s Farm. John was one of the most intelligent and personal people to be around. As his grandson noted, John was definitely a very kind and caring man. A true Marine, and a great individual. So sorry for the Rusey and Vegely families.

  5. I began working for John when I transferred from San Francisco to St. Louis in the 1990s as an International Examiner. He was a wonderful manager and made my work very enjoyable. Based on my experience, he was also very serious about his Catholic faith.
