  1. Father Otto will always be fondly remembered by those of us who knew him at Mother of Good Counsel Home, where he said Sunday masses for residents, staff, family members , volunteers, and visitors. He was so kind to us all; and we could all tell he loved being there, and he told us that routinely. He will be missed a lot. We were so saddened to get the news of his passing.

  3. We were blessed to not only have Fr. Otto preside over our wedding, but enjoyed many dinners discussing family, vacations, or just life in general. His Homilies were always engaging and thought provoking, encouraging one to reflect deeper and do our part to help make this world a better place. God speed…. You will be missed.

  5. I was very sorry to hear about Father Otto’s passing. I worked with him in Earth City at the Provincial Office. He helped concelebrate my husband’s funeral Mass and married my daughter at St. Vincent’s 10 years ago. I will always remember his great sense of humor. Condolences to his confreres.

  7. My condolences to the friends, parishioners, and family of the man known to his family in Colorado as “Uncle Pauly”. He was well loved, and he made the family weddings he personally presided over special. He adapted to the limitations of Covid restrictions and conducted family Holy Day masses via Zoom. I wish I could have spent more time with him, and I am sure he will be missed by many in St. Louis, Colorado, and around the country. RIP and God Bless Uncle Pauly.

  13. We were very saddened to hear of Fr Otto’s passing. He was an inspiration and a great friend during many of our years at St Vincent’s. Our memories of his smiling face, always kind words and uplifting conversations at coffee after Mass, warms our hearts up here in the North Country.

  15. He was motivating, inspiring and had a robust sense of humor when I was his student my 1st year at St. Thomas Seminary (1983), Denver. His Thomistic philosophy course was anything but easy, but he energetically pounded it into us until it sank in. Thank you, Fr. Otto. I think the place God prepared to you must be pretty special.
