In Loving Memory

Muelken, Curt D.

Dear father of Steve (Lauren) Muelken and Lauren (Casey) Murphy.  Dear grandfather of Laura, Lucy, Charlie and Zack.  Dear brother of Carol (Stan) Boessen.  Dear uncle of Cole (Cheryl) Boessen and Lindsay (Ryan) Griffin.

Curt was a member of the West County Friends Group and was always looking to make a new connection.  He was a man who never knew a stranger.  Curt was an avid Cardinal, Rams, and Blues fan and enjoyed keeping up with the Rams with his son Steve.

  1. Curt was a wonderful man and friend. He would have done anything for his friends and will be greatly missed. The gym and outdoor concerts will not. E the same without him

  2. Loved dancing with Curt and being around someone who loved life as much as he did… he brought the feel good vibes with him wherever he went. I am sorry this was the end for you Curt. We all have to go, but this was way too soon for you my friend.

  4. The man that Curt was and is, was positive, open, and you were immediately a friend. While I never danced with him, I danced at the same time at Meetup events. When he found out about my health issue, he would come up to me and discuss how I was doing. Kindness, smiles, strong are words that come to me when I think of Curt. I could imagine Curt saying something like this: “This is not a ploy to avoid creditors or old girlfriends.” Curt, we will miss you.

  8. Wow – Curt was amazing, upbeat, full of life and always the first one on the dance floor. He was always welcoming & there for me when I went through a tough time. One of his favorite bands was Rock Opera. I know that I will think of him whenever I hear that band or dance to their music. He will certainly be missed not only by me but many others.

  9. I met Curt through West County Singles. He was always smiling and ready for a good time. He kept us moving on the dance floor and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. He and I have grandsons of the same age and we would compare photos of them regularly. He will be greatly missed. Sadly, another good soul gone way to soon. Be at peace Curt.

  10. A couple years ago at GreenTree in Kirkwood, Curt and a friend needed a ride to their car. As we were driving them, the usual st Louis -which-high-school was exchanged; Curt and my friend discovered their common roots in hockey – a rapid fire hootin/hollerin memory lane of specific seasons, tournaments, winning shots and who punched who ensued; Curt and my friend parted as bro besties having met just 10 minutes earlier. Curt was/is the best and he will be missed.
