Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Monday December 12, 2022 at age 93.

Beloved wife of the late Howard Sheldon; dearest mother of Claire (Keith) Royer and Thomas  (Jenniffer) Sheldon; proud and loving grandma of Ella and Ona Royer and Jocelyn Sheldon; dear sister-in-law of Carol Sheldon, Lawrence Sheldon and the late Mary “Sis” Gemke, Agnes and Bill Kahn, Jim, Frances, Bob and Gerry Sheldon; dear aunt of Vincent (Susan) Basedow, Liz (the late Don) Schwarz, Eileen (Gary) Burton, Bill (Patti) Kahn, Mary Maddock, Pat Kahn, Bob Kahn, Joan Barnidge, Jean (Mike) Spiegel, Gerry (Hope Burton) and the late Barbara Sheldon; dear great-aunt, Godmother, cousin and friend.

Services: Visitation at Immaculate Conception of Dardenne Catholic Church (7700 Town Square Rd., 63368) Wednesday December 21, 10:00 AM until funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Private interment at JB National Cemetery. Masses or memorials to Thumbs Up Fund To Honor Brett Haubrich c/o St. Baldrick’s Foundation — Thumbs Up Fund to Honor Brett Haubrich | St. Baldrick’s (stbaldricks.org) preferred. Per Janet’s request always remember to “eat dessert first”  A service of KUTIS AFFTON Chapel.

  1. Aunt Dolly as she was referred to by the Niemeier family was a wonderful person. Although it’s been many years since we have visited we have great memories of past visits.
    She will be missed.

  3. My condolences to the family of Aunt Dolly.
    I grew up knowing Aunt Dolly and the Basedow family.
    I remember her driving Vince and I to some family outings in our childhood days. More recently, a few years back, I was able to meet up with Vince and visit at Aunt Dolly’s residence.
    Rest in Peace.
