Jeanne-Slusher

In Loving Memory

Slusher, Jeanne Lorraine

Jeanne Slusher, age 95, of St. Louis, passed away peacefully on Saturday 7/16, after a long illness.

She was born on August 16, 1926, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Otto Fuhrmann and Myrtle Fuhrmann.

Jeanne graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1944. She was an avid “bobby-soxer” and member of the Roosevelt Nu Phi Mu sorority.

Upon graduation, she was an usher at the old Missouri Theatre and served with the USO during WWII.

In 1947, she married WWII army veteran Bob Slusher and embarked on careers of motherhood, catering, banking and “farm management.”

She is survived by her daughter Susan Slusher and son Michael (Frances) Slusher.  She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Robert M. Slusher. Devoted wife, mother, aunt and friend to many.

Many thanks to the Mercy South team, Sunrise-Webster staff, Seasons Hospice, LSS Hospice and Laclede Groves staff of nurses and caregivers. Fine people with hearts of gold.

Private graveside service and interment at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery.
