Baptized into the hope of Christ’s Resurrection Sunday, September 24, 2023 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Henry Sokolowski for 65 years until his death. Loving mother of Laura Sokolowski (Eric Knaust), Larry Sokolowski, Lisa Midden (Tom) and adoring grandmother of Jake and Ava Midden. Dear daughter of the late John and Anna Kaufman. Frances is survived by her sisters Elaine (late Rich) Rauschenbach and Virginia (late Pat) Brown. She was proceeded in death by her other siblings and their spouses, Virgil (Blanche) Kaufman, Dorothy (Bill) Sands, Dolores Kolve; Jerry (Bernice) Kaufman. Dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to many. She will be especially missed by her grand-dogs, mostly Bogey who visited often and received lots of treats.
Frances was a dedicated volunteer for St. Jude Association at its weekly fish fry’s and bingo’s. She was a room mother for all of her children and volunteer at Our Lady of Loretto Parish and a member of the Ladies of Loretto. She was presented with the Resurrectionist Award noting “Frances Sokolowski moves and works unseen, un-applauded, and unheralded yet the touch of her presence does not go unnoticed”. She loved her neighbors on Sherrington and their monthly ladies card club. She also loved her role as grandma, aunt and second mom to many of her children’s friends.

Laura, Larry and Lisa
Deepest sympathies to all. Aunt Fran’s smile always brightened my day and she reminded me so much of my mom. I will miss our talks and seeing her on Facebook. She was a gem of an aunt and will be missed by many. She was so proud of you kids, but nothing compared to Jake and Ava. I can only imagine her homecoming with your dad.
Much Love and Prayers,
Debbie & Bob
Laura, Larry and Lisa – so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Your mother was always so kind and sweet. You all, and all family members in my prayers.

Dear Laura, Larry, and Lisa – I’m so sorry that Aunt Francis has passed. I can see her now with the sisters that left here first just laughing it up. I Love you all and pray you find comfort in all the memories. Pat Jeffries

Dear Sokolowski Cousins,
I am so sorry to hear of Frances’s passing. I really enjoyed talking to her and catching up about the family after my mother passed. I’ll always remember the hysterical stories Mom and Frances had about working together at TomJon’s and Emerson Electric.
I regret that Tom and I will not be able to say good bye to Frances on Friday as we are in Montana until Sunday.
You all, especially Lisa, did a wonderful job of looking after your mom. You can take comfort in that.
Love and prayers,
Linda Podolski Schulte
Beautiful remembrance of such a lovely lady. She will be missed by all who knew her at Cape. I will especially miss her. 🙏❤️
