Tilley

In Loving Memory

Tilley, Diane Marie

Diane Marie Tilley received her angel wings on July 19, 2022. Diane’s final days were spent surrounded by her loving family. Who told wonderful stories from their time spent with Diane.

Diane spent her life spreading love wherever she went. She always made sure her children, husband, sisters, brothers, etc knew how much she loved them. She created a loving home for her 6 children. All who loved and adored their mother.

Diane loved to attend her children’s sporting events and was a regular at them. Her first husband Richard was usually the coach and Diane was the team mom. Always encouraging her kids to give their best, but most importantly to always have fun while playing. This continued on later into Diane’s life as she came to watch her son Chris coach his high school boys soccer team.

Diane had the uncanny ability to make the dollar stretch when preparing her family’s meals. Which as anyone knows is extremely important in a family of 8. I can remember how amazing of a cook she was. She could take basic, cheap ingredients and turn it into a delicious meal. Ex. Tuna-noodle casserole, need I say more.

Life wasn’t always kind to Diane, but she continued to move on and never lost that loving attitude. Diane had the tragic distinction of burying 4 of her 6 children, lost her first husband to cancer and a nephew to a tragic murder. Yet Diane continued to use her faith in god to help her come back time and time again.

Diane was an amazing woman who will be missed dearly by many. Her loving nature touched 100’s and 100’s of people. We who knew Diane are much better people today as a result of that relationship. I am sure Diane is sitting in heaven having a great time with all of those loved ones that have gone before her. I am sure she is especially happy to be reunited with her 4 children.

Diane is survived by husband Eugene Tilley. Sons Chris and Scott Lanemann. Sister Patricia Hallquist and brother Dennis Lamb. Grandchildren; Suzie Gerstner, Michael Gerstner, Mia Lanemann, Avery Lanemann, Aidan Lanemann, Cameron Lanemann, Teagan Lanemann, and Caitlin Bonzano.

Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, on Tuesday, July 26, 3:00 PM until time of service at 7:00 PM. Interment J.B. National Cemetery.
