Beloved wife of the late James A. Treiber. Dear mother of Jim (Connie) Treiber, Linda (Steve) Brown, Donna (Harry) Schillinger and the late Bob Treiber. Dear grandmother of Scott Charboneau, Jessica (Chris Burrow) Wester, Eric Charboneau, Gabrielle (Danny Forster) Schillinger and Harrison Schillinger. Dear great grandmother of Landon Charboneau and George Forster. Dear sister of the late Karl Mayser. Our dear sister-in-law, aunt and friend.
Our mother Rosemarie (Mayser) Treiber was born on 05/10/1935 in Bruchsal Germany. She came to the U.S. in 1946 with her mother and other family members after World War Il at the age of ten. She learned to speak English, make friends and eventually met her future husband (Jim Treiber) who she married at the age of 19. Mom stayed home and raised her 4 children until the youngest turned 16. Tragically she lost a son (Bob) at the age of 32. She retired from Intercity manufacturing at the age of 60. She was a hard worker and an excellent cook and baker. She loved to decorate cakes, sew, knit and crotchet. She would bake over 2,000 cookies every year at Christmas time which she shared with anyone and everyone.
She lived at Our Lady of Life retirement apartments for 7 years. The past ten months she lived in a memory care facility.
She had endured many illnesses with our father who died from Parkinson’s and she fought her own illnesses and eventually her death related to Alzheimer’s. She did not have an easy life but she had a full life! Mom was a very strong, determined and generous woman who loved her family and made sure we were always taken care of.
She loved to travel with family and friends!
Rose was a caring and giving person, if someone mentioned how much they liked something there was a good chance she would purchase it for the person. Her kindness, generosity and fun attitude will be greatly missed as well as her smile when she saw you walk in the door.
SERVICES: Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel (10151 Gravois Road Affton, Missouri 63123) on Monday, January 27, 10:00 a.m. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association appreciated. Visitation Sunday 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Jim, I am sorry for your loss
I grew up with Donna and Linda. Donna was my best friend. Mrs. Treiber was my role model as I grew up. She took such good care of her house and her children. She was truly a happy homemaker. I remember the doll birthday cakes she would make for the girls’ birthdays. She truly was a wonderful cook, baker, she sewed and knitted, always knitted. She always had a project going on. I have thought of Mrs. Treiber so much through the years, using her role model for me as a housewife. Whenever I would feel lazy, I would think to myself, Mrs. Treiber wouldn’t be lazy and I would get up and do what needed to be done. I am so sorry for your loss, Jim, Linda and Donna. I will always remember her.
Dear Donna and Family,
My deepest condolences to all of you. Know that your Mother is at peace.
May your memories of happy times shared with her bring you much comfort.
What a wonderful lady who always had a beautiful smile. With love, prayers and sympathy to the family. Our moms are always special people in our lives and we learn that more the older we get.
