Farrell

In Loving Memory

Farrell, Mathew W.

December 31, 1979 - June 24, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Mathew W. Farrell, who departed this life on June 24, 2025.

Matt was a devoted husband, loving father, and a cherished son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife Sarah, and their son Ethan. Of all the roles Matt held, none brought him more joy than being a father. His love for Ethan was evident in every moment they shared. He will be missed by his faithful dog Louie, who brought him great comfort.

Born to Patricia (Hayes) Farrell and Kevin Farrell (Linda) on December 31, 1979. Matt had a special relationship with both of his parents and shared a strong bond with his brother Chris Farrell (Becky). Matt grew up surrounded by a tight knit family and some of his closest friends are his cousins.

Matt is also survived by his in-laws, David and Pam Schuster, who embraced him as one of their own. He was also a beloved brother-in-law to Sam Schuster and wife Casey and Alex Schuster and his partner Jose. He held a special place in the hearts of his nephews, Isaiah and Oliver, and his nieces, Hazel and Peyton, each of whom brought him joy.

Matt’s legacy is one of unwavering work ethic and a deep commitment to his family. His absence leaves a hole that cannot be filled, but his memory will continue to live on in those who were lucky enough to know and love him.

Matt’s visitation will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 5:00-7:00. Kutis Funeral Home 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, MO 63129. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Needy Paws Rescue St. Louis.
