1936-2025
June Crafton was born in Indianapolis, IN, June 26,1936.  After attending Pike High School, where she was a drum major, member of the band, and modeled for the local department store, June attended Nursing School at Methodist Hospital in Indy.
In 1969, June moved to St. Louis with her husband Charles in order to train in at the Barnes Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia.
Nurse Crafton aced the program with flying colors, scoring the at the highest level in the United States when taking her Board Exams.  Subsequently, June embarked on a year’s long career as clinician and instructor at the Barnes/Washington University School of Nurse Anesthesia.
Always up for an adventure, June was an avid world traveler. She was a crew member on a private yacht for an Atlantic Crossing, as well as an Eastern Mediterranean Yacht Rally. She also fondly recalled spending weeks in Spain with her sister Maralee, living the European life.
An avid patron of the arts, June was a supporter of the St. Louis Art Museum, Missouri Botanical Garden, and St. Louis Zoo, among others.
Her social activities included being a member of the Affton Lady Elks, Red Hat Ladies, attending local theater and musical performances.
Her daughters, Lorna Crafton and Ana Crafton, as well as her son Michael Crafton, will miss her very much.
