Slover, Paul Clay

August 11, 1954 - July 31, 2025

Clay passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025 with his family by his side at the exceptional hospital of SSM St. Clare in Fenton, MO.  He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Slover, wonderful step-sons Charles Hess Jr. and Richard (Lauren) Hess, and two beautiful grandchildren, Henry and Benjamin Hess.  He is also survived by his mother, Shirley Slover, and siblings Ray (Kathy) Slover, Polly (Charles) Klasek, and Max Slover. He was preceded in death by his father, Dual R. Slover.  He was a beloved uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, mentor, and friend to many.  He leaves behind a wake of adventures throughout his life and many hunting and fishing stories, along with the camaraderie of 16 years at Cabela’s/Bass Pro.  He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, with a Celebration of Life Service following at 11 a.m., both at Kirkwood United Methodist Church, 201 W. Adams Ave., Kirkwood, MO 63122. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon at 1 p.m. at the Kings Oak at Modern Brewery, 5200 Oakland Ave., St Louis, MO 63110.
