Lawrence “Larry” Eugene Thompson Jr., 83, peacefully crossed into eternity on January 17, 2026. Born on December 24, 1942 to Lawrence “Gene” Eugene and Mildred Magdelina (Klick) Thompson in St. Louis, MO.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Linda Kay (Boyer) Thompson, his daughter Kristina Magdelina McGlothlin (Larry), his niece Sara Christie Thompson, and his parents.
Larry is survived by his sister Barbara Louise Gisi Hellings (Donald deceased, Gene deceased), his brother Frederic Charles Thompson (Barbara “BJ”), his son Michael Eugene (Michelle), grandchildren Kaylin Hope (McGlothlin) Lehmann (Ricky), John Lawrence Thompson (Kelly), Kelsey Grace (McGlothlin) Bozman (AJ), and Lexie Sarah Faith McGlothlin, nieces Cathy Ruth (Gisi) Tempel (Curtis) and Gretchen Louise (Gisi) Heimann (Chuck), nephew Casey Robert Thompson (Kayla), great-grandchildren Adalyn, Brighton, Hoss, Michael, RJ, William, and Wrenlee. Plus, extended family, friends, fishing buddies, and many others.
Larry was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from Normandy High School in 1960. He was the owner and master electrician with Lawrence Thompson Electric in Kirkwood, MO for over 30 years. Larry enjoyed his years of providing exceptional service to his customers. In retirement enjoyed his family and friends, the lake (which ever one he was near), fishing, Cardinal baseball and his beloved dogs.
SERVICES: A memorial service for Larry will be held at Kutis Funeral Home in Affton, MO, located at 10151 Gravois Road on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Visitation begins at 9:00am, Service begins at11:30am. Private burial at St Lucas UCC Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Missouri Humane Society or to St Vincent DePaul Society.
