Phyllis Lee Lieber (Richards), aged 92, of Webster Groves, Missouri passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 1st.  She was surrounded by her family in her home at EverTrue Meramec Bluffs in Ballwin, Missouri. She is preceded in death by her husband Ronald H. Lieber.  Phyllis was born on October 29th,1933 in Olney Illinois to Lawrence Russell and Mary Etta Richards.

Phyllis and her brother, William Russell Richards, spent their childhood in Olney navigating the difficult 1930’s and 1940’s, yet remained happy and enjoyed those years.  She graduated from Olney High School in 1951. After graduation, Phyllis attended the Missouri Baptist School of Nursing and graduated in1955 as a Registered Nurse. Phyllis then worked as an industrial nurse for the Hunter Meat Packing Company in East St. Louis, Illinois.

Phyllis met husband Ronald H. Lieber in St. Louis, Missouri.  They married in 1961 and moved to Webster Groves, Missouri where she enjoyed being a mother of her two children, John and Linda.  John gave his mother two grandchildren, David Lieber and Cassandra Lieber along with three great grandchildren, Izaiah, Myles and Clement.  Linda gave her mother six grandchildren, Amanda Bertinelli, Brandon Davis, Cole Davis, Drew Davis, Erin Davis, and Bryce Davis along with six great grandchildren, Oliver, Reed, Luke, Jude, Mila, and Ella.

Phyllis was a thoughtful, caring wife and mother, always willing to participate in whatever was necessary to support her family in their various endeavors.  She loved to travel but when at home she played golf, bowled and loved to garden.

Phyllis was a proud member of the PEO Organization and was active in the Webster Hills United Methodist Church. In addition, Phyllis volunteered at the Judevine Center through her church.

A visitation for Phyllis will be held at the Kutis Funeral Home (10151 Gravois in St. Louis, Mo. 63123) on Monday April 13th from 5-8pm.  A Funeral Service will be held at the Webster Hillis United Methodist Church (698 W. Lockwood Ave, Webster Groves, Mo. 63119) on Tuesday April 14 at 10 am.  We invite all to honor her memory.
