He was born in Cape County, Missouri on December 24, 1942 to John G.and Frances A. Scharenorg.
Joey is survived by his brother, John J. (Kathryn) Scharenborg and his sister Mary Schuermann; 11 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews; he was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 3 sisters-in-law, 1 brother-in-law, and one nephew.
Visitation at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church 11910 Eddie & Park Rd, St. Louis, MO 63126, Wed August 19th, 9:00 AM until funeral mass at 10:00 AM. Interment 1:30 PM at Russell Heights Cemetery (Jackson, MO). Memorials to POW/MIA Museum at Jefferson Barracks appreciated.
