Platter, Helen Louise (nee Lyle), Wed. June 12, 2019,

Helen began her life in Memphis, TN in 1933. She had a talent for music, especially piano, and became a church pianist at age 12. She continued to play for churches for over 70 years, teaching well over 100 students piano, accordion and organ. She married Rolla Platter at age 20, and over the next 25 years she had four children: Paul, Mike, Kathy and Aleta. Her career was as a bank data processor. After retirement they moved from St. Louis County to Leslie, MO.

Her life was defined by faith in Christ, and faithfulness to God, husband, family and friends. She never failed to bring happiness to others through her robust sense of humor, and a hospitable, loving spirit which marked her life until the very end.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 64 years. She is survived by her four children, two son-in-laws, one daughter-in-law, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, one brother (Jerry Lyle), and many nieces and nephews. She went to be with the Lord on June 12th, one month shy of her 86th birthday.

Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Fri. June 21, 4-8 p.m., then to South County Church of the Nazarene, 2500 Telegraph Rd., Lemay, MO 63125. for Visitation Sat. June 22, 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Interment Lakewood Park Cemetery.
