Beloved husband of Phyllis R. Hewitt (Nugent); devoted father of Jeffrey (Marilynn) and Ronald (Dusty) Hewitt; adoring grandfather of Mary Elizabeth Breedlove, Emily Marie DeClue and Gwyneth Lucille Hewitt; cherished great-grandfather of Blake Breedlove; loving brother of Donna Jean (the late Raymon) Phillips and the late Marlan (Edna) Hewitt; dearest son of the late Lucille Esther (nee Uthe) and Vern Allan Hewitt Sr.; our dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.
He retired from the US Air Force and Department of Defense (National Geospatial Agency) after over 30 years of service. He was a collector of antiques and had many interests.
Graveside Service will be held privately at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
