May 16, 1942 - November 10, 2024

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday November 10, 2024. He was the loving husband of Kate Meyer-Benn (Schlake) and the late Margaret Benn (nee Stange). Beloved father of Stephanie Williams (nee Benn) (Mark), Charles Benn Jr.  (Rachel). Cherished grandfather of Alex (Miranda), Charlie, Laney, Lynsey and Matthew. Great Grandfather to Mila and Easton. Our dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Charlie was born May 16, 1942, in Vandalia, Missouri to Ezra and Sylvia Benn. Charlie served in the U.S. Navy and Army Reserves. He was a Vietnam veteran and retired from the Army Reserves as a Sargent Major. He worked many years in the business world as a computer programmer. He loved the spending time with his family and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church since 1978. He donated a lot of his time to helping others and always offered a warm smile and a kind word to anyone in need.

SERVICES: Visitation is at Kutis in Affton (10151 Gravois Rd. Affton, Missouri 63123) on Monday November 18, 4-8 PM.

Funeral on Tuesday, November 19, 11AM mass at St. Paul’s Catholic Church (15 Forest Knoll Dr. Fenton, MO 63026) Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Veteran’s charity of your choice.

  1. I am sorry to hear of your loss. Charlie was a very special cousin. His brothers and my sis and I grew up together. He will be missed by many. Sending God’s Blessings to all of his family.
