Blowers, Sr., Richard M. “Dick”, 90, baptized into the hope of Christ’s resurrection on Monday, January 1, 2024.

Beloved husband of Mary Ann Blowers (nee Frick) and the late Joan Blowers; Loving father of Richard (Terry) Blowers, Jr. and the late Kim Blowers; cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Timothy) Simonds and Christopher Blowers and great-grandfather of Whitney, Conrad and Shepherd; our dear uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend.

Mr. Blowers was a retired chemist from Monsanto Chemical, Master Gardener at the Botanical Gardens, was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus  and a Knights of Columbus Clown (Top Hat), facilitator for Growing Through Grief, a deGreeff House volunteer, honorary member of the Society of American Magicians also serving as the National Administrator for many years.

Services: Visitation at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, on Sat., Jan. 6, 9:30 am until funeral mass at 10:30 am. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the School Sisters of Notre Dame. A Kutis South County Chapel Service

  3. Dick’s name was on my very first S.A.M. National Membership Card. What a great friend to magicians. He will be dearly missed.

  5. Great clown and friend to all magicians that met him. I’ve had the pleasure to dine at his home and work with him on magic auctions, and of course work with him in as a fellow officer at SAM meetings. He will be missed.

  8. Sorry to hear of “Top Hat”’s passing. He was a long time member of MOOLAH Shrine Clowns along with his many other organizations. He will be missed. May his memory be a blessing.
