Brewer, Richard Lee

Richard Lee Brewer, age 94, of Fenton, Missouri passed
away Wednesday, July 31. Visitation will be held at 10:00
am and funeral service at 11:00 am at Kutis Affton Chappel,
10151 Gravois Road on Monday, August 5, 2024. Interment at
Sunset Cemetery will be held in private.
Richard was born on January 5, 1930, son of Fred and
Madge Brewer. He grew up in East Prairie, Missouri, joined the
navy and married the love of his life, Maxine Hight. Together
they celebrated sixty five years of marriage.
Richard was known for his love for God and his family. He
had a remarkable ability to turn everyday moments into fun
and cherished memories for his children and grandchildren.
Richard’s love for his grandchildren was boundless and he
delighted in showing them how to enjoy life to the fullest
and even took their secrets to the grave with him.
Richard was proud to have served in the United States
Navy in the Korean War.
He loved sports and especially playing basketball. He
cheered on his St. Louis Cardinals team as he proudly wore
their apparel.
Richard loved people no matter what their status. A saying
his kids heard a lot was “God loves them as much as He loves
me.” He was known by many to be such a “Good Person.”
Richard will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Maxine
of Fenton; his children, Richie (Mary) Brewer, Larry (Gina)
Brewer, Ricky Brewer and Ronnie Brewer, five grandchildren,
Nichole (Jeff) Dales, Erin (Nick) Seaman, Ricky (Katie) Brewer,
Anthony (Kristen) Brewer and Rachel Brewer. He has seven
great grandchildren, Sydney Brewer, Liliann Dales, Emalyn
Brewer, Elam Brewer, Dylan Brewer, Beckett Dales and Evie
Brewer. He had two nieces, Alana Tripp and Carrie Frost, and
one nephew, Alan Frost.
