Armand Desrosiers

In Loving Memory

Desrosiers, Armand G. “Al”

July 4, 1934 - July 5, 2024

Baptized into the hope of Christ’s Resurrection, Friday, July 5, 2024.

Beloved husband of Marian L. Desrosiers; dear father and father-in-law of Kevin (Elizabeth) and Donna (Steve). Dear grandfather of Mike (Meagan), Matthew (Erin), Chris (Marsha), and Amanda. Dear great-grandfather of Annabelle, Robert, Baia, Rogan, Tayven, Coelir, Anna, Benjamin, Chloe, Daniel, Ellia, and Frederick. Dear brother of Cecile Martin. Dear uncle, great uncle, and friend.

Al was born in Rhode Island to Canadian immigrants.  He served in the Air Force as part of their Special Services Division in both Germany and bases in the United States.  Al worked at McDonnell Douglas for 37 years on projects ranging from the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo rockets to military jets.  He was very active in his parish, St. Timothy’s, which eventually merged with two other parishes to become St. Mark. Al served as an usher, lector, and as president of the 50+ club. He also loved projects around the house, building furniture, an enclosed patio, a gazebo, and other home improvements.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mark Catholic Church or the Benedictine Sister’s facility in Clyde, Missouri are appreciated.

SERVICES: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd 63123) on Wednesday, July 10th at 9:30 AM for 10:00 AM Mass at St. Mark Catholic Church (4200 Ripa Ave 63125). Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday from 3:00 – 8:00 PM.

We are so sorry for your loss. It was wonderful growing up with such great neighbors. We have so many wonderful memories,, including those July 4th parades, volleyball in the street, polka dancing, and patriotic music. I babysat frequently for Donna and Kevin when Al and Marion had a night out. And then Marion and Al looked after our Jeremy when we were in town for a family wedding. Even though we lived right next door Al always made sure I got home ok after babysitting. We love you guys. We hope God provides the strength you need over the coming days and months.

  5. Mrs. Desrosiers, Kevin and Donna, I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Desrosiers passing. I have such fond memories of growing up next door to such an amazing family! As a child, I had a French pen pal and Mr. Desrosiers would interpret her letters for me as they were all written in French. Such a sweet man! My thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Desrosiers, Kevin and Donna and family during this difficult time. May God be with you all! Leslie
