Lois was a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church & grade school and a 1948 graduate of St. Elizabeth Academy (SEA) where she was an athlete, baton twirler and received nice compliments from her many friends on her beautiful smile and blue eyes.  During her high school years she was a summer camp counselor at Camp Wyman being a role model to kids. Shortly after she was married, her husband Gene went into the army. She wrote him a beautiful letter everyday while he was gone and have been read by many of her children which showed her love and devotion to the love of her life. Together they owned and operated the Globe-Democrat and Post-Dispatch paper routes, Gene Feicht Carpets and numerous real estate properties which gave evidence to her hard-working lifestyle.  She was also a life-long real estate agent.  She was very proud of her Catholic faith and a member of St. Catherine Laboure (SCL) parish for 66 years where she raised her beautiful family and was involved in helping with multiple activities including Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.  She instilled faith in her 6 children having them attend catholic grade school and high schools to lay the foundation of their faith. Family was her life which showed in her love and generosity as she hosted many family celebrations.  She was active in the Cursillo Movement and weekly eucharistic adoration.  Lois had a strong faith in Jesus and devotion to the blessed virgin Mary saying her daily rosary and attending daily mass.  She and her husband Gene were ushers at the Fox Theater and ACES tennis matches at Forest Park.  She loved playing in numerous tennis leagues and spending time outdoors with her family at Turtle Creek Farm and Water’s Edge at Lake of the Ozarks. She will be missed by all who knew her and leaves a legacy of love and faith in our hearts.

Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Mary Queen and Mother Nursing Home for taking such loving care of Lois.

    • Thank you Mary Hearn for being her best friend! She loved you so much and we were so happy knowing you cared for our mom, sitting with her at mass, helping her with bingo and just spending time talking to her. The best part was, you went to the same highschool…Lizzie’s! How special is that!

  3. Lois and I became friends when I moved in next door with my son, Greyson. I often helped her look for Gene in his red shirt throughout the neighborhood. We also had an opportunity to get into “good trouble” together on a neighborhood initiative that landed us at Sunset Hills city hall multiple times. We continued to stay in touch after I moved and she went to the nursing home.

Lois was a special, loving and strong woman. My heart goes out to her family who meant the world to her. I know she is at peace and reunited with Gene laughing in heaven.

  4. I loved Aunt Lois….the only way a I knew how to address her. I met her through her niece, Barb, and Lois treated me as family ever since the day I met her!
She helped my husband and I buy our first home and gave me advice on buying my own years later. I have not seen her in years but Barb kept me informed as to how she was doing. She lived a wonderful, long life and left her mark on the world! I know she’s happy to be reunited with Gene and the rest of her family.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family!
