Carol Ann Frauenhoffer (Middleton), 82, of St. Louis, MO, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on November 4, 1943 in East St. Louis, MO and grew up in St. Clair, MO. She attended The Missouri School of Mines in Rolla, MO (now Missouri S&T) where she met John “Jack” Frauenhoffer, who would be her husband of 62 years. She worked as a real estate agent and was a mother to her three children. She enjoyed going on road trips, biking all over the United States, and spending the colder months in Seagrove Beach, FL, with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is best known for the many celebrations she’d host for holidays, birthdays, graduations, weddings, family reunions, and more, including all of her family from near and far. She was a force to be reckoned with and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, John “Jack” Frauenhoffer II, her children John (Kim) Frauenhoffer, Drew (Shannon) Frauenhoffer, and Lynne (Darren) Wallis, her 11 grandkids: Brynne (Erin) Bauen, Christian (Jess) Frauenhoffer, Carolyn (PJ) Overton, Hew Wallis, Kiara Frauenhoffer, Aden Wallis, Grace (Henry) Frauenhoffer-Paraino, Sam Frauenhoffer, Shae Frauenhoffer, Calen Wallis, and Daly Frauenhoffer, her 3 great-grandkids Eloise, Charlotte and John Perry Overton, and sibling-in-laws Jill Middleton, Jeanna Volansky, Mary (Chuck) Meyer, and Dennis Frauenhoffer, as well as many more nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family who she loved very much.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Glen Middleton, her mother Marcella Genevieve “Mickey” Blandford Middleton, her brother, Michael Middleton, and her nephews, Sean and Andrew Middleton.
A celebration of life will be held on a later date and will be shared with family and friends once solidified.
