  3. I am so sorry to learn of his passing. I will always have the fond memories of the parties we had at the Lake house @ Lake Serene. It’s where our families all collided and become one.

    With much Love to All,

  4. Grandpa Marty will sure be missed. We’ll cherish the memories of the best Christmas Eve parties in the basement, visiting in the sunroom, hearing him tell stories, and spoiling Buddy the dog. RIP Grandpa!

  5. Jim and I were so sad to hear of Marty’s passing. Jim’s first encounter with this Affton legend was as a boy in the 60’s when he had to buy gasoline for his lawnmower at Ray & Marty’s, which was just down the road from his house. Imagine our surprise when years later in the early 2000’s our daughter began dating Marty’s grandson! Now that young man has been our son-in-law for over 18 years….life sure does hold some beautiful surprises. We have so many fond memories of Christmas Eve celebrations at Marty and JoAnn’s house where they welcomed us warmly and made us feel like family. We pray for peace and comfort for all who love Marty.

  7. One of my favorite memories was when I was pregnant with our first baby and Grandpa Marty had found a change table on the side of the road that he grabbed for us. He was so happy to give it to me! We used that change table for all three of our babies!

  8. What an amazing man! Marty (and his boys) were great to our family through the years. It has been an honor to be friends with all of you through these many years. Marty & Dad are probably sitting on the back porch have a drink right now. The entire Miller family has you in their prayers.

  9. I am so sorry for your loss. As a kid growing up I always respected and trusted him. Great man. One night we ate a bunch of white castle hamburgers during an ice storm. Special memories and a special family.
