  5. I’ve known Mike since grade school. We recently caught up with each other and I’m so glad we did. He was the type of person where time didn’t matter. You started where you left off, even if it had been years. Mike, was a helper. He would give you the shirt off his back all while trying to make you laugh. A kind generous souls that will be greatly missed. Prayers to his family and friends.

  9. I have known Mike for so many years… I remember our early years, meeting at age 10, and growing up through high school. There are so many fond memories and stories I have built a long the way. Even after high school, living in different states, we stayed great friends. To say that I will miss him is an understatement, and for all who knew Mike over the years, I feel would say they same. To the Kollar family, I am so sorry for the loss of your Michael. I hope it brings you happiness to know the impact Mike had on so many lives. He was truly a gentle teddy bear, a great man, a great friend, an uncle, and son. We love you Mike, RIP.

  11. As Michael’s cousin, Michael often played a starring role in many of my happiest childhood memories – summer trips to the lake, the zoo, family holiday gatherings, and more. He could make me laugh uncontrollably(and often did!). I will always remember his special affection and kindness towards animals, especially the time that he found a snake at the lake and, unbeknownst to me, kept it in the tent we shared that night with Jill and Johnny. The snake escaped from its coffee can home and was discovered resting cozily under Johnny’s bedding. We were not pleased, but Michael was amused and I eventually found myself laughing too. I will miss his unique, contagious laughter immensely. I often admired Michael’s ability to carry conversation and make friends of all ages, even as a kid. I had a front row seat to view his playful energy, kindness, and love. I’m forever grateful to have been a part of Michael’s cousin pack.

To my dear aunt, uncle, and cousins,
I’m holding you all in my heart as you grieve the loss of your son, brother, and uncle. I love you.

  13. I met Mike in high school through mutual friends and we hit it off right away. He always gave me that little brother vibe and was so easy to talk to no matter what the subject was, always a good listener. We lost touch through the years as friends do but I did see him a couple years ago and we caught up a bit. I have so many great memories with him and will cherish them. This is very upsetting, my sincere condolences to the family. He will surely be missed, love ya buddy.

  19. Mike’s sudden passing is so heartbreaking. Mike was such a great guy. I met Mike at Six Flags when I was in 8th grade. I decided to go to Oakville Senior High because Mike went there. We’ve been friends ever since. The loss of Mike saddens me, and I cannot imagine what his parents are going through. I send my deepest condolences.

  25. Michael had a special place in our heart. He reminded me a few months ago when we were playing golf of the time when he was maybe five. I pushed him off the dock, after he blindsided his brother Joe. I was dumfounded he recalled the event. It never interfered with the affection we had for each other. Remember his short laugh and way he loved us all but never fully expressed it.
