Loving son of Jane (nee Ostoin) and the late Edward “Ed” Lavin Jr.; beloved brother of Cheryl (Richard) Joyner, Ed (Stephanie Lehman) Lavin III and Mark (Scott Culpepper) Lavin; dearest uncle of Robert (Michelle) Joyner and Courtney (Ross) Gage; dear great-uncle of Joules and Ames Joyner.

  2. Dear Lavin Family – I am so saddened by this news and deeply sorry for your loss. While it has been a long time since I’ve spoken with Tim, he was like a 4th big brother to me growing up….except so much nicer! I remember him helping me get around our house when I first broke my leg, including me on whatever he and my brothers were up to, and always making my mom and I laugh with his incredible sense of humor.   3. Jane, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Tim. Tim was the first person I met when my family moved back to NC in 1987. Looking back to when we were both 15, Tim was by far the most mature, grounded, and honest person i knew at a time when the rest of us were trying to figure out who we were. He was a great friend and positive influence on my life. I am so sorry for your loss.
