In Loving Memory

Mautz, Stephen C.

Mautz, Stephen C. Thursday February 9, 2023. Beloved husband of Patricia L. Mautz (nee Mertz). Dear father of Chris Mautz, Barb (Mike) Wiesehan, Dan (Judy) Pohle, Jennifer Clark and the late Diane (survived by Dennis) Bello. Dear grandfather of Ryan (Megan) Wiesehan, Cory (Madyson) Wiesehan, Emma (Andy) Grandpre, Anthony Basta, Derek Basta and Jara Mautz. Dear great grandfather of Carter, Adalyn, Cassidy and Audrey. Dear brother of Maureen Mullen, Robert Mautz and the late David Mautz. Our dear great friend to many.

Steve was one of the founding members of the Crestwood Elks Lodge and volunteered with the Lions Club with their programs to help the blind. He was a hard worker all of this life, and generous to a fault. He loved to fish, and    he loved his family. He opened his home to many over the years who needed a safe place to stay. Above all else, he was a huge St Louis Cardinals fan. He was such a great friend to so many and always a voice of reason in a storm.  And throughout his suffering of the last few years, he never complained or wanted to give up. He took whatever God threw at him and carried on.

Funeral from Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. Wednesday February 15 at 11:30 am. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 pm.
