November 18, 1947 - January 28, 2024

passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 went peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior.

Wonderful husband of Judy McClary, loving father of Jamie (Brian) Arquilla, loving Papa of William James (Will); dear brother of Dolly (Matt) Angle; dear brother-in-law to Susie (Gary) Gorsuch, Joanne (Dave) Engelman, Linda Auzat, Robert W. Chilton; dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.

His wishes are that there will be no funeral or memorial service. He will be placed at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.  If you wish to remember him with a donation, his favorite charities are APA Adoption, 1705 S.   1. So many words describe Jim…kind, sweet, compassionate, loving, amazing husband, dad and grandpa. He loved his family and dogs unconditionally. He enjoyed a good day boating, fishing and time with his angler friends. His face would lit up talking about his grandson Will and wanting to share the outdoors with him. I would love to stop and chat with him and Hank on their daily walks in the neighborhood. God bless you Jim. You will be dearly missed

  2. My most sincere condolences. Although I never had the opportunity to “meet” Mr. McClary in person, Our recent short relationship has left an indelible handprint on my heart. The strength and resolve of Judy and Jamie will remain a source of inspiration to me.

We would see him and Hank on our walks and he was always smiling and stopped to chat. He will be missed. Sending prayers of comfort and peace to you all.

  7. So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing,. I only knew him when we would meet “on the streets” walking our dogs. He was one of the nicest guys I’ve ever known. Loved his family so much and of course loved dogs. He is missed for sure!
