In Loving Memory

Norris, Kenneth Charles

Kenneth Charles Norris of St. Louis County, Missouri passed away on October 14, 2024, at 6:48p.m. He leaves his loving and devoted wife Linda Kay Clark Norris, who spent 91 days in the hospital by his side following a traumatic accident in July which resulted in major burns to his back torso and arms. He was born on June 19, 1947, in Willow Springs, Missouri to the late John and Marie Norris (nee: Swirski).

Ken attended Willow Springs High School and continued on to the University of Missouri where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Forestry before entering the United States Air Force. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War.

Those blessed to share in Ken’s life are his treasured wife, Linda; his stepchildren Kelly (Tim Hulla) Wicks and Robert (Angela) Clark; his step grand-children Emily (Joshua) Hawkins, Abigail (Ryan) Faulkner, Ashley Wicks, Carter Clark, Olivia Clark, and Colin Clark; his great grand-children Wesley, Wilson, Clark, and Elsie, and his niece Susan Witt. Ken was a cherished and loved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all of those who were blessed to know him.

Ken loved nothing more than to spend time with his wife, Linda and their family. This included family dinners, board game tournaments, and being a part of the various cheering squads for all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. When Ken had a spare moment for himself, he enjoyed his time spent outdoors on his fishing boat and the days he could lose himself on the water. He was also an accomplished business owner, construction expert, and woodworker. He spent his professional career after his service in Vietnam as the owner of Ken’s Remodeling and Repair. He thoroughly enjoyed getting to utilize his expertise in serving his community through his volunteer work with the Boy Scouts and mentoring local teens in his area. Ken’s woodwork can still be found throughout the state of Missouri. He was a kindhearted man who would always put others first along with serving the Lord which was a guiding force in his life. He had a soft spot for all animals including Getty, Oliver, Copper, Theo, Boomer, and Bentley. They all will feel the loss of one of their favorite humans.

Not enough kind words can be said about Kenneth Norris. He was a godly man who gave generously, loved deeply, and will leave a large hole in his family and friends’ hearts.

Services: A wake for Ken will be held at Kutis Funeral Home in St. Louis County, Missouri on Lemay Ferry from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024. 11. May you rest in peace Ken even though you are probably working in some form or fashion.

It has been three months since your departure from this earth to be with the Lord. I was reflecting on a feature that was most outstanding to me about you. I will never forget your unconditional and reverent love for your wife, Linda Norris. She was the undoubtably the love of your life. And you were and will continue to be the love Linda’s life. She was blessed to be your wife all those years. You always put each other first and definitely kept the commitment of you vows to love each other in sickness and in health. As you both were inseparable and Linda seldom left you even as you were fighting to recovering from your injury. Your life mattered Ken and was an inspiration to many people in so many ways. Your presence will be missed.
