Ruth and family…I am so terribly sorry to hear of Ed’s passing! He was such a kind man, always had that suttle smile on his face. Please know you will be in my prayers…. it’s not easy but with God’s grace you can go on! Jan Streib
Ed has always been a true leader and friend to all who met him. His support and love for all employees in the City of Shrewsbury was so strong and we all respected and loved him for it. He will forever be remembered as an anchor in this community and will be missed every day. Our love and support go out to the entire Purvis family. Thank you, Ed, for being the role model we all hope to be.
We are so sad to hear this news. Ed was a lovely neighbor and friend. He would always give our dogs treats through the fence and they loved him. He will be missed.
I’m a Rams tailgate buddy with Ed. I went to the Super Bowl in NEW ORLEANS with him. Some of my fondest memories are with him. I wish I could have fished with him. RSIP MY FRIEND.😪
Sincerest condolences to Ruth & their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
My husband and I truly loved having you as a neighbor, making us feel welcomed from day 1 of moving to Shrewsbury in 2011. So many chats about our beloved Cardinals. We will miss those and our discussions about the silly traffic on Lansdowne Ave.
Keeping all of his family and friends in our thoughts as they traverse this sorrowful time. I know Ed would want all to remember him for the happy times and his sheer joy of his beautiful wife, lovely family, and…of course, his love of the STL Redbirds!
Until Valhalla, Ed! Slow salute rendered from two retired USAF vets…
Worked with Ed when I first got into sales. He was a great example and mentor to everyone. Truly one of the best humans on the planet. I enjoyed a few Cardinal games with him in the right field upper deck. Hopes that the many happy memories carry you all through this difficult time.
Though I never met Mr. Purvis, Ryan is surely a testament to the fine man he must have been. May you rest peacefully among the angels.
What a great guy! He visited my parents regularly since he moved in up the street on Lansdowne. Very caring. Deepest sympathies from the Riney family
