Radomski

In Loving Memory

Radomski, Robert D. “Bob”

Robert “Bob” Donald Radomski, born May 26, 1930, peacefully journeyed to heaven November 11, 2021, at age 91. Beloved husband for 68 years to Louise Radomski (Kaempfe); dear father to Stephen (Eileen), Christine (Bruce) Dickinson, Greg (Michelle), Mary (Tom) Valli, David (Julie), Susie (Patrick) Kozeny; dear grandfather to Jennifer (Ryan) Regan, Teresa (Thom) Radomski-Bomba, Michael, Aileen Dickinson, Tommy Valli, Mary (Andy) Heder, Christine (Travis) Dearmont, Mitchell Dickinson, Kevin, Bobby, William (Hanna) Dickinson, Katie (Alex) Oyler, Ryan, Tommy, Christopher (Anne) Kozeny, Megan, Annie Valli, Elizabeth Kozeny, Danny, Sarah Dickinson, and Caroline Kozeny; Dear great-grandfather to Macie, August and Oscar Regan, Sophie and Emma Dearmont, Tommy Valli, Charlie, Ellie and Jane Louise Heder, Theodore and Grover Radomski-Bomba; dear brother-in law; uncle; great uncle, cousin and friend to so many. Bob is proceeded by his parents Robert William and Helen Radomski.

He was an honored veteran and loved his Country, serving in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, 1951-1954. Bob grew up in the Botanical Heights neighborhood of St. Louis.

Prior to his service in the US Air Force, Bob played professional baseball within the New York Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Browns organizations. Bob was the co-founder of Premier Insurance Agency in South St. Louis County and was very active in Most Precious Blood Parish, instrumental in developing the athletic facilities, Grasso Fields. In addition, Bob is a proud St. Mary’s High School (South Side Catholic) Hall of Fame inductee.

With such a full life, filled with great achievements, those accomplishments do not hold a candle to the family he and Louise have fostered; Six wonderful children, 21 fantastic grandchildren and a growing number of great grandchildren. Not to mention his daughter in laws, son in laws and grandchildren’s spouses; all very grateful to be a part of this family that he and Louise built. This accomplishment promises to be the very most impactful and carry on for many, many, many, more generations. His family was Bob’s greatest pride.

Bob was such a great example of how to love, laugh and live a life of faith, hard work, optimism and gratitude.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Services: Mass, Thursday, November 18, 2021, 9:15 AM, St. Matthias Catholic Church, 796 Buckley Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. Interment will follow Mass at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

  3. To the entire broader inclusive Radomski family: Thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of big loss. Bob was always cheerful to me and an obvious vessel of God’s Holy Spirit and love. He lived a FULL life and has a right-behind-home plate seat in heaven. Love from Bob’s son-in-law’s brother. 7. I was sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I played softball with Bob for many years on the Santa Maria Knights of Columbus team. Bob was a great teammate who always had a smile on his face and a friend to all.
I last saw Bob at his induction into the St. Mary’s high school Hall of Fame and enjoyed talking to him about the good old days.
    Sorry for your loss.

  9. To the entire Radomski clan,
Cathy and I are dear friends of Bruce and Chris Dickinson. We live in Los Angeles.
Never even laid eyes on the man and yet we felt the force of the sacrament that was Bob and Louise.
Bruce and Chris would regale us with sports stories, St. Louis vacation stories, lake of the Ozark stories.
When Chris gets back I’m going to give her the biggest hug and yet I feel the larger connection that is, I believe the body of Chris.
Fight on Radomskis! Love that good German name, Kämpfe!
I spelled it correctly for you
    Love, Henry and Cathy Behrens

  21. All our love Louise (Mousie) and all my beautiful cousins. As we were growing up:?it was to your family we looked with love and admiration. Bob was the Father we imagined would be what we so wanted. I know Bob has found peace as his faith was so strong and lived so fervently. We love all of you.
