In Loving Memory

Recht, Albert B. “Al”

Recht, Albert B. “Al” passed away at the age of 73 on Sunday, June 5, 2022. He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Maureen A. Recht (nee McCabe); two children Brian and Lindsay (Jeff) Hulsey and two grandchildren Devin and Dylan as well as many other friends and family.

Al had a love of music that has transcended not only to his children, but his grandchildren as well. He also loved softball, playing cards and shooting pool with his friends, but most of all he loved being an entertainer and “putting on a show”. Whether that show was in front of many people with a microphone in hand or simply reading a self-written birthday poem to his children, the show was always on and that show will be missed.

“The song is ended, but the melody lingers on” – Irving Berlin

  5. We have known Al for very close to 50 years. During that time we’ve had so many good times together! Al was always a life of the party, always wanting to entertain us with with a good story. But more than that he could be a very good friend. Whenever we needed him he was always there to help. We will never forget the impact he made on our lives.RIP dear friend!
Maureen and Lindsey, our heart goes out to you both. I know you could not have been a better wife or daughter to him.

  13. I had known Al since 1957 when we were children. I am several years younger. I am shocked to hear of his passing. Too young to die.
