I have great memories with Dave on the golf course over the years. I was lucky to have him as a friend and he will be missed. My thoughts are with the family.
Karen & family…..So sorry for your loss. Sue & Randy told us about Dave being sick on Saturday. Prayers and condolences to all of you. You guys were great neighbors in the late 80’s & mid 90’s.
I sat with Dave and Doug a “few” times at fergies. I usually left with my face hurting from laughing at the stories he would tell us. He will be missed greatly
What a great big laugh he had!! You always looked forward to spending an evening or going out with Karen and Dave because you knew you would laugh and everyone would enjoy whatever they had planned. Best memories of our youth together and he will be so very missed. Love to the family as you try and get through these sad times.
What a great guy we have lost. Fond memories of Dave at Fergies for Mizzou football yelling, “and that’s another tiger first down” leading the crowd. Dave will be sorely missed.
Karen and family, so sorry for your loss. I have known, and called Dave a friend, from his seventh grade and my eighth grade class. Dave, Wally Gawrych, Jim Fox, and I did everything together. He was in my wedding. I, like many others, who were touched by Dave will never forget him for something. He is greatly missed by many especially a great wife, children, grandchildren, family, and many friends.
Love you my friend, here a Budweiser for you.
Karen and family, we are so very sorry for your loss. I felt lucky to have known Dave, and considered him my friend. I enjoyed the opportunity to help him work on the concession stand and turkey shoots at St. Bernadette’s. It was always more fun than work. There was many good reasons why there was always a chair open for him at the table of knowledge at Ferggies. Dave was one of the great ones!
Dave we love you, we will miss the good times we had with you. You will always be in our thoughts, our deepest sympathy to Karen and all the Schmidt Family.
May You Rest in Peace.

To the Dave Schmidt family, we are deeply sorry for your loss.
We loved him so much and will miss him . Our prayers are with
you and we love all of you.
Dave was a remarkable man. He loved his family. He was a great older brother. He was a tremendous little league baseball coach who saw the potential in one young man who wasn’t destined to have a future in baseball, but found success as restaurantuer. He put the borough of Manhattan on the map. He was a patriot who served our country and played our National Anthem at SMT golf events. He made us all laugh. His boisterous personality will be missed by many, but the memories we shared will endure.
I will forever miss hearing hey tubby when I walk in the door at the bar and see you and Doug. You are already missed at Fergies so much, it will not be the same at all now when I see dougie he already did step up and had to ask if I had a mirror for my outfit! My papa stout had a cold one waiting I’m sure for you. Rest easy Dave
