Mueller, Thomas

In Loving Memory

Mueller, Thomas D.

Thomas Dale Mueller was born on September 15, 1956 to Robert and Mabel (nee Conboy) Mueller in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away on June 16, 2023 at the age of 66.

Tom was the beloved husband of Cheryl (nee Eaves) Mueller. Dear father of Ryan (Ashley) Mueller, and Shawn Mueller. Loving grandfather of Madelyn, and Cecilia Mueller, dear brother of Robert “Skip” (Sue) Mueller, James “Jim” Mueller, Larry Mueller, the late Richard “Dick” Mueller, and Mary Hope Mueller. Our dear uncle, great uncle, great-great uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend of many.

Tom was a fun-loving person who never met a stranger. He would regale anyone willing to listen with tales of his adventures. Some of his favorite stories were about his business trip to Korea, anecdotes about his silly granddaughters, and proudly claiming the title of the favorite fun uncle to his nieces. Tom had an infectious laugh and he laughed loudly and often.

Anyone who knew Tom knew how much he loved to grill and that it was almost impossible for him to sit still. But even more than that, everyone knew how kindhearted he was and that he would happily give you the shirt off his back. He truly loved his family and friends and made sure you knew that. To say he will be missed dearly would be an understatement. Until we meet again.

A Visitation will be held at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. on Thursday, June 22 from 3 pm – 8 pm.

Tom was always a joy to work with. Greeted you with a smile and a story. The years working with him will always be cherished. He would always tease me about what he was smoking – and always had tips and techniques for me to be a better “BBQ-ologist”

Never met Tom in person. I worked with him and had many semi distracted conversations with him over the phone… I can only imagine how he will be missed by the people who encountered him in the wild. I aways pictured Tigger bouncing around holding a phone in our conversations…sorry for my sense of humor, but this was only made funnier when I found out he had one leg. I cannot say we were friends, I can say we were friendly and I guarantee Tom, I will miss our conversations. Rest in peace.

  5. Tom will be missed terribly by many people including me. He was such a kind and very smart guy. He was always willing to help me and explain what I didn’t understand. He was always laughing, and he just made me happy. Eating chilli dogs will never be the same without him.

  6. Tom was a good friend at work. I went thru a very hard 18 months a while back and Tom several times reached out to me at some of my lowest points. We were no longer working together, but he instant messaged me to say Hi and to check on me. He had no way of knowing those were particularly bad days for me. I told him I believed God urged him to reach out to me when I needed it most. Praying for your family as I know you will miss him greatly. Please see an example below from July 2022 of Tom helping me.

    Tom:
    hang in there big guy
    Dale:
thanks i appreciate you reaching out, seems like you do on some of my worst
    days.
    Tom:
    hahahaha, I’m magic man?
    Dale:
its funny, i prayed for God to encourage me today

  8. Tom was my lst cousin but I haven’t seen him for about 35 years since I live in Virginia. Paid last visit to St. Louis in 1976, for a get–together for our Grandfather Al Mueller who was celebrating a birthday. My Mother Alvera and Tom’s father Bob were siblings.

  9. I worked with Tom will on the A-10 wing program at Boeing – great engineer, can-do attitude and truly had fun in whatever he was doing. I remember visiting him in the hospital after the motorcycle accident that injured his leg – he was the most positive minded person I knew – always a cup half full perspective. I feel honored and blessed to have known him – prayers to his family.
