  2. Mr. Unnerstall was such a quiet humble man. During my high school years I would spend the night at their home, sometimes stay for dinner, even with that large family others were invited! He was always working or fixing something. His family was everything to him. His devotion to our Lord was an inspiration! Thank you for being a wonderful example of a true servant of God!

  4. I remember what a gentle man and gentleman Mr. Unnerstall was. I thought it was so cool you could pretty much walk across the street from St. Dominic Savio and be at their house literally in minutes. Their home was always so warm and inviting.

Rest in peace, kind sir. Your daughter Kathy was one of my very few friends at Dominic’s. She epitomized the loving and Christian upbringing you and Mrs. Unnerstall gave their children.

  5. Hi Carol. It’s Peg (Stepka) McBride, from Cardinal Glennon College days. So sorry to hear of your loss. Just to let you know I’m thinking of you and your family and that you’ll be in my prayers. We’ve had such a long familial history, back to your parents, my grandparents and mom. Our days, working together, were very special. God’s Blessings!

  6. Dear Carol & Family, Our most sincere condolences on the passing of your husband. Like you, Donna & I were parishioners at Savio from its founding ’til its dissolution. Our shared devotion to the Parish and its mission was a major part of our lives. Paul was always the most devout and congenial gentleman. We saw both of you recently at Mass at Seven Holy Founders, our new Parish. We will miss Paul and remember him most fondly. Regards always, Tony & Donna Dill
