Gloria informed me of The passing. Brennan, Kirk, and I wish you and your children peace during this rough time. He was such a lovely man and gave so much to others. We will be in Minnesota next week and are sad to not give our condolences in person. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Mr. Waddock was a much-loved principal at Melville High School. He valued his students and staff and we all knew it. He created a positive environment in his building that made us cherish our high school years.
He has influenced my life in more ways than I can count. He was a mentor to me and so many others. He was gift I will never forget
He was principle and dean of education at Mehlville when I went to high school there in 1963 thru 1967.
New him well as parishoner at Queen of All Saints for many years.
Couldn’t have asked for a nicer man.
He affected the lives for the better of SOO MANY kids at Mehlville.
He will be missed by All who new him or were affected by his contact.
R.I.P. Sir. You have earned it and I’m sure the angels were singing as you entered heavens gates.
A devout Catholic and a good friend.. The best
Am so sorry to hear of Mr. Waddocks passing. I remember him very fondly. He was a very good friend of my father’s (Art Voerg). He was such a nice man. Prayers and thoughts to his family
He was my algebra teacher in about 1959 or 1960; one of my favorite teachers. I remember him with his pointer at the blackboard. He was well liked and respected.
My sincere condolences to the family. I’m sure he will be missed by many.
For many Mehlville High School students, Freshman algebra was our first encounter with Mr. Waddock. How were we to know what a influence in our life he would be! Many stories preceded our walk into his classroom. Nose in the circle on the chalkboard, hold that algebra book with outstretched arm and a pointer slammed on your desk. You can’t do that stuff today…but we all reminisce. We had a great teacher, we had a great mentor for life and we were taught moral clarity. Oh, by the way, we still know a little algebra! Dearest Aunt Barbara, Heidi, Kitty and Joe III, we are so sorry for the loss of Uncle Joe. He was such a kind man with a passion for educating others. A very common trait in the Waddock family. He will be greatly missed.
We can only imagine the Waddock family celebration reunion happening up in Heaven! We extend our love and sympathies,

Dear Frau (Mrs. Waddock) and family,
I’m so sorry to learn of your family’s loss. Mr. Waddock and my dad served at QAS St. Vincent de Paul together for many years and became good friends. I always looked forward to catching the two of you at mass when at visiting home. God Bless you all during this difficult time. Mr. Waddock lived a beautiful life!
Frau Waddock, while I did not know your husband, I had the honor of having you for 4 years of German. I think of you often and was sad to read this news. I am sending love and light to you and your family.

Heidi,
You may not remember me , I moved away in 1973. We went to grade school together and were Brownies and GirlScouts together.
I wanted to let you know how sorry I am for the loss of your father. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May God and your memories give you comfort and peace.
To the Waddock family,I’m am sorry for your loss. I was a student in Frau Waddock’s German class in 1984 at Oakville senior high school.
Judie and I extend our sympathy to the Waddock family on Joe’s passing. Joe and Barbara were an excellent team of educators – Barbara, as a German/English teacher and Joe, as a math teacher and high school principal. Joe stayed in good physical condition by swimming almost daily at the Mo. Athletic Club and he enjoyed float tripping with Ed Berry, his St. Mary’s HS buddy. Joe can best be described as a ‘straight arrow,’ He was always honest and supportive.
You could always find Joe at daily mass at Queen of All Saints and we would pass each other at 2:00 AM on Wednesday mornings before COVID ended our Eucharistic Adoration times. He would always give me smile as we promised to pray for each other. There’s a special place in Heaven for him. RIP Joe!
Toni Dean (QAS)
Frau Wadduck. Prayers for you & your family. Thank you for letting your light shine in places & times where it was so often frowned upon to do so! You were a loving & giving teacher. One that I remember often. You are a respected authority on the history of Oakville, and obviously you & your husband are pillars in your community. I won’t be denied the chance to meet him in heaven! One day I will see you there! ( no. I won’t be quoting something eloquent in German here) . But trust & believe I learned a lot from you! I hope my light shines half as bright as yours!
OHS Class of 84.
So sorry to Frau Waddock (I’ll never forget you) and your family.
Praying for all you.
The King girls have so many fond memories of Mr. Waddock, and his musical gifts, on the Current River’s gravel bars. We were just talking about him this weekend, and sharing memories with the next generation of floaters.
May he rest in peace.
So very sorry to hear this. May God be with Frau and her whole family as they navigate this loss.
Joe was truly a class act, always willing to help those in need through his involvement in the St. Vincent DePaul Society, as well as in many other ways in the parish throughout the years. His presence will definitely be missed at Queen of All Saints, God Bless your family during this difficult time
So sorry to hear of your husband’s passing Frau Paddock – Unser Herzliches Beileid. Prayers for peace for the family in this time of sorrow.
He confiscated my motorcycle freshman year from the quadrangle, with a couple greasers. He would not tell me where it was, but assured me it was safe and to come to his office after 6th hour. He was sitting at his desk with his feet on the seat of my motorcycle! I can’t believe there was never any pictures, but he made his point and I did not park my motorcycle there any more. His last words were I do not want to hear that motorcycle started in the building! So I started it between the doors, rode it down the stairs and did a nice wheelie up the parking lot! I will never forget Joe Waddock what a Mentor and Man he was! God Bless and Rest In Peace
