November 6, 1946 - October 10, 2024

Barbara Wehner (Hess) loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away October 10, 2024 fortified with the Sacraments of Saint Francis Xavier Church.
She was was an excellent caregiver, nursing several terminally ill family members throughout the years. Her favorite things were spending time with family, long walks, visiting the beach, and sitting on the front porch watching over the world. Holidays were special for her and she always found the perfect gift for each person. She was an avid reader and volunteered her time teaching adults how to read.
Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years John Wehner, Sr., 3 children Melissa Wehner, Jeanel Wehner (Kent Gorton), John Edward “Ed” Wehner Jr. (Marie), and 3 grandchildren. She is our dearest sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend.
Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, St. Louis, MO 63123
Wednesday October 16, 2024 at 10 am. Service at 1200 pm. Interment to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery 2909 Sheridan Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125.

  1. Barb was a wonderful neighbor and fellow parishioner at ST. Michael the Archangel catholic church in Shrewsbury . I will miss her amazing smile and laugh , I would hear as she talked with family and friends on the front porch .

  2. So sad to hear of Barb’s passing. She was a wonderful neighbor and volunteer at St. Michael. There was never a time when she refused to help on any school or community project when asked; from St. Michael’s library book renovations to the Shrewsbury by Candlelight project at Christmas time. Be assured, this kind caring lady is resting easy in the arms of the Lord……..👼

  3. I am so sad to hear of Barb’s passing. She was an amazing neighbor whose beautiful gardening skills were envied! I will miss seeing her on the porch, walking the neighborhood and talking about her amazing kids and grandkids.
