  1. My condolences to Rick’s family. Rick was our neighbor, and we saw him as a well-organized, efficient person with a calm, easygoing demeanor who never seemed to get upset. He always kept a neat yard, and completed whatever house related tasks without complaint. He really seemed to care about people, seeing their needs and fulfilling them without fanfare. Rick made a special effort to reach out and offer support to those who lost loved ones. He was always was hospitable and gracious and loyal to neighbors past and present.

Reunited with his parents, his son David, and many beloved relatives and friends, Rick now knows the peace and joy of living in the loving presence of God. May God bless him as he rests in eternity.

  5. Rick was a member of our “Rockaway Family”. We met him at a vacation spot that we go to every year for a week during the 4th of July holiday. We stayed at the same resort as Rick and became fast friends from the very first year that we arrived. Rick had been going to that resort for that week for many, many years and was the MOST welcoming person that we met when my family first started our vacation journey there. It has now been some 20 years ago that we met Rick and feel like he is more to our family than just that friend we met on vacation. He kept up on our lives and we kept up on his. He and I would communicate via phone call and text on a monthly basis, if not more frequently, and my family always knew that if we needed someone to lift us up, all we had to do was to talk with Rick. He always had a smile on his face and always looked to the bright side of the situation.

You will TRULY be missed, my friend. R.I.P until we meet again!!
