Asher, Beverly “Bev” Jane Lange

Beverly (‘Bev’) Jane Lange Asher, 84, of St. Louis, Missouri, died Monday, April 7, 2025, at Parc Provence in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

Bev, daughter of Alfred Henry and Flossie Magdelane (Cardwell) Lange, was born on March 31, 1941 in Tipton, Indiana.

On October 21, 1960, she married Ura Robert Asher (Rob) Asher in Tipton, Indiana. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2007.

Bev held a variety of roles at Proctor & Gamble for over 30 years. She retired on May 2,1996 to enjoy spending time with her husband and family. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, watching sports, attending her grandchildren’s events, enjoying coffee on her back porch, sweets, and more.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings – Betty Lange Mays, Bonnie Lange, Berdena (Clarence) Lange McCool, Benjamin Lange, Bonita (Doug) Lange Long, (James) Bradley Lange, Bernard (Peach) Lange, and Barry Lange; a grandson, Ian Gregory Asher; and, a great-granddaughter, Lucy Jane Asher.

Surviving are two sons – Ura Robert (Bob) Asher, Jr. (Gwenn Pate Asher) of Valles Mines and Greg Asher (Laura Shaw Asher) of Imperial, Missouri; six grandchildren – Jocalyn Gilmore of Davie, Florida, Hillary Asher (Brad) of Fenton, Missouri, Beverly Asher of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Ura Robert Asher III of Valles Mines, Missouri, Aaron Asher (Lauren Quigg Asher) of Saint Albans, Missouri, Evan Asher (Melanie Metherd Asher) of Chesterfield, Missouri; eight great-grandchildren – Ronen, Elsie, Silas, Frances, Vincent, Brenna, Lydia, and Astrid; five step-great-grandchildren – Rylee, Austyn, Brayden, Cooper, and Maeve; two brothers – Bob Lange (Debbie) of Tipton, Indiana, and Bill (Beth) Lange of Windfall, Indiana. She leaves behind family and friends who adored her dearly.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 14, 2025, from 10 a.m. to Noon (Service at Noon) at Kutis Funeral Home; 5255 Lemay Ferry Road; St. Louis, Missouri 63129. Internment at 1:15 p.m. at Shepherd Hills Cemetery, 1925 Old Highway M, Barnhart, MO 63012.

Flowers accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to 2025 Purple Hat Night Out Team in honor of Beverly Asher. Contributions benefit the Greater Missouri Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.
