March 20, 1949 - June 10, 2025

William M. Tackett (Bill) of St. Charles, MO was born March 20, 1949 and passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025 at the age 76 years. Bill dedicated his life to family, service, and caring for others.

He was born in Paintsville, KY and then spent years in London, OH. He proudly joined the Army to serve his country. He built a career in the billboard industry and partnered in entrepreneurships. He had a determination and passion in everything he did and loved.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and partner to many (including all of his pseudo children). His spirit, love and will was fierce and will live on in all of us. He touched many lives and will be missed by all.

Dear father of Gary (Laura Robinson) Tackett, Greg Tackett, Gina (Cassandra Rissell) Tackett, Brett Tackett, Adam Tackett, Nathan (Ivey Scheck) Tackett and Alyssa Tackett.  Dear grandfather of Christopher, Gregory and Neo.  Longtime partner of Peggy Campo and the late Rosemary “Rosie” Strawser.  Dear husband of Barbara Tackett.  Dear son of the late Ellis and Alka Tackett (nee Francis).  Dear brother of Ellis “Junior” (the late Shirley) Tackett, Arthur (Janet) Tackett and James Russell (Nina) Tackett.  Our dear uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend.

SERVICES:  Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel (10151 Gravois Road Affton, Missouri 63123) on Monday, June 23, 8:30 a.m. until funeral service at 10:30 a.m.  Interment services with full military honors at Jefferson Barrack National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Wounded Warriors or DAV appreciated.
